The Rice MBA Military Veterans Program
Welcome to the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. Every year, the Rice MBA proudly enrolls veterans and active duty personnel in all three of its programs: MBA Full Time, MBA for Professionals and MBA for Executives. We honor your service and value the unique contributions you would bring to the Jones Graduate School of Business as a student and a leader.

Our distinctive MBA programs focus on the qualities that mark the successful leader, delivering knowledge for excellence in finance, marketing, operations, entrepreneurship and global business. While our military veterans go into a broad range of industries and functions, no matter where your interests take you the Career Management Center (CMC) is with you on the journey throughout your two years and beyond. As with all students, the CMC provides group workshops along with individualized student engagement to ensure you develop the strategy, job search skills, and networking opportunities that will help you succeed in the professional MBA job market.
With competition for top MBA students fierce and support of those students an essential philanthropic priority, the Jones Graduate School of Business is focusing a portion of its recruiting efforts on United States veterans. This military student support encompasses scholarships, extensive funding of the Post 911 Yellow Ribbon Program, the Veterans in Business Association, and a network of alumni and community members.
“We are excited to develop support for military veterans who are making a transition to civilian life after serving our country,” said Bill Glick, dean of the Jones School. “Through the military, they have developed tremendous leadership skills. Through the Rice MBA, we can help them translate these leadership skills to civilian roles. Houston and the Jones School are very pleased to welcome and support our veterans.”
