2001 Summer Internship Report
As of June 1st, 98% of our first year students have obtained summer interships. "Old friends" such as Compaq, Duke Energy, Deloitte, Continental Airlines, Enron, JP Morgan, El Paso, Exxon and Lehman Brothers lead the list of our top summer employers, but we are pleased to add and expand several exciting new recruiting relationships, such as Conoco, Anadarko, Noble Drilling, BCM Technologies and Methodist Hospitals. The growing strength of our marketing program is evident with our placement of first year students at top national brand management firms like Kraft Foods and Kellogg's. And our summer placement clearly explodes the "just a Texas school" myth— we will have students working in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and Singapore this summer.
