Offshore Technology Conference 2001:
Where the World of Offshore & Technology Meet

Rice University and the Jones School Executive Education department established a first this summer. Executive Education exhibited at the annual Offshore Technology Conference.

This year’s Houston event was held at Reliant Park, from April 30 through May 3. The Jones School was one of two academic institutions that displayed at this event.

Founded in 1969, the Offshore Technology Conference is the world’s foremost event for the development of offshore resources. OTC 2001 exposed managers, engineers, operators, scientists, and students to the latest advancements and discoveries in the offshore industry. It is an ideal setting for discovering new technologies, establishing international business relationships, enhancing business development, and discovering solutions to key issues in the offshore industry.

Executive Education’s participation in this event was part of a proven commitment to providing training and education to the energy industry. The Jones School division most recently partnered with British Petroluem, Marathon Oil, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to provide training in areas such as e-Business, the Rice Program for Managers, and Global Leadership Development. In addition, Executive Education has garnered significant interest for courses tailored to the demands of the energy industry: Extracting Profits in the Energy Value Chain and Preparing for the e-Revolution.
