Joint Degree Programs

For highly motivated students with specific career goals, Rice University offers three joint degree programs that pair the Rice MBA with advanced degrees in engineering, science, and medicine. Joint degrees capitalize on Rice University's close ties to leading research institutions and high-technology corporations in the Houston area.

Rice MBA/ME Program
The MBA/ME Program offers a Master of Business Administration from the Jones Graduate School of Business and a Master of Engineering from Rice's top-tier George R. Brown School of Engineering. Graduates will learn the skills necessary to lead technology firms through rapid change and development.

Rice MBA/MS Program
The Jones Graduate School of Business offers a three-year joint degree option with the MBA and Professional Science Master's program at Rice's Wiess School of Natural Sciences, which offers MS degrees in Environmental Analysis and Decision Making, Subsurface Geoscience, and Nanoscale Physics. Students complete courses in one of the three degrees along with management coursework for their MBA.

Rice MBA-Baylor MD Program
To meet the demand for skilled leadership in health care, Rice allows students to pursue a Master of Business Administration from the Jones Graduate School of Business and a Doctorate of Medicine from the world-renowned Baylor College of Medicine.
